taking a look at your temperatures, they are shaping up like this. tokyo at 22 degrees. not bad at all. but take a look at ulaanbaatar up in the north. that's a high of freezing point. the low is actually about minus 11 degrees for your tuesday, already very winter-like there. but staying in the 30s here in the tropics. all right. moving over to the americas, we've got two storms to talk about here, as well. this is rafael, and the other one paul that we first saw. this is a hurricane now, moving at the speed of 11 kilometers per hour in a northerly direction heading towards the baja peninsula. now, as it does so, it looks like it will be intensifying over warmer water as a hurricane status making the closest approach as a hurricane status or even downgrading into a tropical storm system. but that's going to be bringing very significant amounts of rainfall as well as gusts, already packing up to 148 kilometers per hour. so do watch out for those rip currents and storm surges. this one also you should be worried -- be aware of with the hurricane status as it moves forward

in 1990 the u.s. congress declared the first full week in october to be mental illness awareness week. the success of that awareness can be measured by our much more open mags al dialog around mental illnesses like depression and anxiety. shame and stigma continue to render us silent on others like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. chances are, if you haven't had a mental illness then someone you know or love has. one in four adults, almost 57.7 million americans will experience a mental health disorder in a given year. nearly one in ten children live with a serious mental or emotional disorder. $79 billion is the economic cost of mental illness in the united states. $63 billion of that cost is from loss of productivity. what with the proper treatment and support, 70 to 90% of people living with mental illness can reduce the impact of their illness and increase their quality of life. getting a proper diagnosis and treatment can save lives. suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people
